Project Brief
A requirement for gravel supply to light vehicle access road construction.
Requirements
- Budget of A$470k to complete planning, screening plant mobilisation, safety certification, site establishment and screening operations
- Select trial location subject to cultural heritage and permit conditions
- Complete soil and geo-technical tests to conform to material specifications
- Report the trial results and cost benefits to Mine Management in order to make an informed decision on continuation of screening operations
Deliverables
- 50,000 tonne of "feed" material to SCS Triple Desk screening plant
- Screened 10,000 tonne of Main Roads specification (or similar) gravel
- Screened >150mm environmental rock
- Screened 50mm to 150mm drainage gabion rock
- Screened <6mm bedding materials
Business Outcomes
- Successfully produced gravel conforming to Main Roads specification
- Cost effective when compared to quarry import gravel products
- subsequent trial locations available to expand production
- Multiple products consumed onsite for various applications
