The Olympic Dam copper/uranium operation is about 84 kilometres north of Woomera in South Australia. Olympic Dam hosts the world’s largest uranium deposit, and the world’s fourth largest copper deposit. In addition to copper and uranium, Olympic Dam also contains significant quantities of gold and silver. 1 person 
Groote Eylandt is the largest island in the Gulf of Carpentaria in north-eastern Australia. The island is about 50 kilometres from the Northern Territory mainland and 633km south-east of Darwin. The island measures about 50km from east to west and 60km north to south, and covers a total area of 2326.1 square kilometres. The Groote Eylandt Mining Company (GEMCO), a BHP Billiton subsidiary, operates a large open-pit manganese mine on the island. The mine was first commissioned in 1965.

The Blackwater mines lies in the coal-rich Bowen Basin of Central Queensland, which covers an area of 75,000 square kilometres of permian age marine and freshwater sediments. It is within the Rangal coal measures, which are of late permian age, dipping between three and five degrees to the east.

Crinum’s installed capacity is 4.25 million tonnes per annum of metallurgical coal, with the Gregory operation retaining some 1.25Mtpa of out-put. All coal is beneficiated at on-site processing facilities, which have a combined capacity in excess of 5Mtpa. The plant uses heavy medium cyclones, spirals and flotation to produce hard coking, soft coking and thermal coal products for the export market. 2 Personnel

The Saraji mine, 165 kilometres south-west of Mackay in Queensland, produces a low - volatile coking coal for export to Asia and Europe. The mine is one of seven Bowen Basin mines that are owned by the BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA). Saraji is about 24km south of BMA’s Peak Downs mine, and 213km south-west of the Hay Point coal export terminal. Construction at Saraji began in late 1972 and production began in the latter part of 1974.  1 person
Arrium is an international mining and materials company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange. The company has three key businesses: Mining, Mining Consumables, and Steel & Recycling. We are a significant iron ore producer currently undergoing expansion in export sales from approximately 6mtpa to 11mtpa.

  • Act as the Owner’s Representative in the Project Life Cycle from Concept through to Execution , using the Owner Companies established Protocols in EPCM projects.
  • Act as a “One Stop Shop” for project delivery where contractors, procurement etc are directly engaged through FAROP.
  • Execute a Company’s Capital and/or Operating Project Portfolio and deliver these projects, meeting or exceeding Customer Expectations. Companies can stick to their core function – Safe Production, knowing their projects are taken care of.
  • Provide Business Improvement Solutions , FAROP Director Peter Fuller was the first Accredited Six Sigma Black Belt and a Master Black Belt at BHPBilliton and was Business Improvement Manager for BHPBilliton’s Australian Operating Sites from 2003 to 2006 (46 sites in all).
